The Lansdowne Grille is one of two restaurants at the Lansdowne Resort. It's located in a beautiful setting along the Potomac River between Leesburg and Sterling, Virginia about 30 minutes east of Washington. Access is off of Route 7.

The Lansdowne Grille is best known for its great steaks, but the menu is quite diverse... from meat and potatoes to the exotic. Although this is fine American dining, the atmosphere is very relaxed, with contemporary decor and very comfortable chairs. The servers are extremely attentive, the presentation is striking and the food was delicious. The prices lean toward the high side ($15-$30 per entree), but that's to be expected from an establishment of this caliber. Our oysters on the shell arrived with plenty of cocktail and mignette sauces and were beautifully garnished with edible delicate orchid blooms. My tender filet mignon was served in a sweet sauce with mashed potatoes and hollandaise on the side. A good-sized lobster tail completed the Surf and Turf. The two other adults both had prime rib and were equally delighted. The kids ordered "pigs in blankets" from the children's menu and were delighted with their generous serving of hot cocktail franks wrapped in flaky bread. Gotta be honest... it's not cheap, but if you want to splurge, the Lansdowne Grille is the place to do it!
